She has produced many racing thoroughbreds. Few of them have been tried in showjumping classes. They have all been remarked like the stallion Philemon xx (a good thoroubred used in crossed breeding and which has generated good eventing horses) or Ita Est xx, the full sister of Premiere Main, which has also produced Eta Sir xx, dam of Bismuth ISO 137.

                                   
 In 1993, 1st place at the 3 YO French stallion championship.

 From 1994 to 1996, he accomplished what no other French horse had ever done :
In 94, at 4 years old, he was triple French Champion of Hunters, Dressage (Elite, IDR 130) and Jumping (Elite, ISO 128) !
He is also triple French Show Jumping Champion at 4 years old, 5 years old (Elite, ISO 138), and 6 years old (only horse classed Elite over 250 ! ISO 141) !

 In 1997, French vice-champion of the 7 year old.

 Since then, he has been regularly placed in national and international classes (1st at Metz Grand Prix 1998, 1st at Deauville CSIA GP 1999, 2nd at Jerez CSIA GP 2000, 7th at Maastricht CSIA GP 2001, etc.). After a year at stud, Calypso d'Herbiers came back in 2002 (12th at Bordeaux World Cup GP, 8th at La Baule GP, 1st at Rome Nations Cup, 11th at Rome GP, 1st at Cannes GP, 5th at Hickstead Nations Cup, 5th at La Coruna GP, and 12th at Jardy GP, etc.). In 2003, winner of Canteleu and Lyon GP, 7th at Cannes GP. In 2004, winner of CSIO La Baule Derby and of Port Mort GP. In 2005, he has been placed in many national classes (2nd at Auvers, 2nd and 4th at St-Lô) and international classes (6th of La Baule Derby and another CSI***** class, 1st at La Courneuve CSI***, 4th at Cannes CSI****, 6th and 4th at Port Mort CSI***).

Calypso produces commercial horses : very nice and easy to ride in jumping, eventing and also dressage classes.
Ranked "Very Good" as Selle Français stallion for jumping and dressage and "Elite" for eventing (ANSF rankings), he is regularly nominated as Best Young Horses Sire.

Calypso d'Herbiers began breeding in 1995. He is now a renowned French stallion which has 73 % of its offspring which is indexed among those which are older enough for being indexed. Coming from an exceptional dam line, Calypso is one the rare stallion which can be crossed like a thoroughbred without its disadvantages. He crosses well with tall, strong mares. He stamps his foals with style, outstanding gaits, energy, a good mind and suppleness.
                           

If you bring your mare in France for being inseminated in order to have a SF foal, the stud fee is divided in two parts : a reservation paid at the beginning and a second part paid when the mare is pregnant :
If the mare is inseminated (with fresh or frozen semen according to availability) at Couvains' AI center :
                       300 euros HT before the first AI + 1000 euros HT when the mare is pregnant
If the mare is inseminated (with frozen semen) in another French approved AI center :
                       600 euros HT before the first AI + 1000 euros HT when the mare is pregnant
(if not at the end of the breeding season, we need a vet certificate stamped by the AI center)
